Sha la la la la la

You're all familiar with the song 'Kiss The Girl' from Disney's 'The Little Mermaid'. It is a beautiful song. Full of so much happiness, nut at the same time it is sad because Sebastian is trying to get Eric to kiss Ariel, which should be a beautiful moment full of joy, but Ursula ruins it with her evil magic.

"Sha la la la la la,
Don't be scared,
You have the mood prepared,
Just go an' kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la,
Don't stop now,
Don't try to hide it now,
Just go an' kiss the girl"

The mixed emotions in the song are truly beautiful. And whilst reading an e-mail, this song was playing and it fitted with the e-mail in a perfect harmony.

This e-mail was full of achievement. It had achievements of others in. And the happiness in the song spilled across onto the computer screen in a wave of silver circles. They bounced across the screen untill they settled in a frame around it. The silver is similar to the shade of the edible decorative silver ball things people put on cakes. But it's less dusty.

So to see people's achievements and to know that not only are they happy with how they have done, but others are proud, it fills you with happiness. But then again it's sad, just like the song because in order for them to do well others must have nit done as well as they'd have liked if it is a competitive thing. And if it's a course, well it's come to an end in one sense. So there's the blue-grey of sadness too.

That's why the song and e-mail were in perfect harmony. The story of 'The Little Mermaid' itself is happy but so incredibly sad at the same time. That's why I prefer Disneys version because it turns out to be fine in the end. It shows just how glorious two contrasting emotions can create such a powerful over all feeling. The silver bouncing circles and the grey- blue blanket if sadness.  It was so perfect it made me cry. Yeah. I know it's sad. But you have too see it to fully understand. You may have noticed that I say: "it's sort if like" or "it's similar to" quite a bit. And that is because it is hard to describe the colours exactly.
